PaMeLa Inc. is pleased to announce the completion of an investigator-initiated clinical trial for the development of the Pain Measurement System PMS-2. This trial was conducted in collaboration with a research group led by Professor Kunihiro Nakai (Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) at the University of Fukui Hospital and a research group led by Professor Tateki Kubo (Department of Plastic Surgery) at Osaka University Hospital.
The study, which began in March 2024, focused on patients undergoing surgeries under general anesthesia. Its aim was to objectively monitor the efficacy of analgesics for postoperative pain using the PMS-2 system by analyzing changes in electroencephalographic (EEG) signals before and after administration. With the support of numerous stakeholders, the trial was successfully concluded in January 2025.
Currently, data analysis and evaluation are underway. The findings are expected to contribute to future regulatory submissions.
We remain committed to enhancing patients’ quality of life and advancing medical care, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support.
