PaMeLa receives the Best Abstract Award at the 56th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Pain Clinicians!
At the 56th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Pain Clinicians, held at the Tokyo International Forum from July 7 to 9, 2022, our “Exploratory clinical trial for objective assessment of pain after surgery under general anesthesia using the pain assessment support system PMS-1” was recognized as the best abstract in the “Clinical Research” excellent abstract selection session.
PMS-1 is a system consisting of a brainwave analyzer BWMS-1 program developed by PaMeLa and a general-purpose electroencephalograph (manufactured by Nihon Kohden Corporation).
We used PMS-1 to analyze changes in electroencephalograms before and after the administration of postoperative analgesics in patients scheduled to undergo surgery under general anesthesia, and investigated its usefulness and safety in monitoring the drug efficacy of the analgesics.
